Sent the Letter
Wrote it. Enveloped it. Stamped it. Sent it.
Katie emailed to say that she wrote about it in her own blog site. (Kate is it okay to link that site here?)
Her blog captures everything perfectly!
Okay, what are my musings?
I'm terribly excited to see what I am going to learn through this. I am excited to see where the letter goes. I love people. I can't wait to see and perhaps get to know, those who participate.
Who am I?
I recently turned 43. I've lived in three countries (US, England and Japan.) Lived in three different states of the union (California, Hawaii and Oregon.) Presently in Waikiki - yes, someone has to. I am married. We do not have kids, nor can we. The view from my livingroom window is from an old tv show (Gilligan's Island.) My favorite food is Middle Eastern. I love to sing and knit, at the same time is best. Recently took up jogging, again. Left behind in Portland the best pet I've ever had (for which I still mourn.)
Challenges:
I'm looking for a new job, but not stressing about it. I think I might like to take a couple of classes at the local jr college. I am going through the process of trying to donate one of my kidneys to a friend. I passed the first round. On to the next round which involves a lot more blood samples.
What fascinates me:
Beauty in life. I love to see a perfect sunrise. I love to watch Tiger Woods play golf (and I did in November.) I love to listen to Continuum by John Mayer, musically I think its perfect. I love to hear my husband tell me about how much he loves what he does all day long at work, it warms my heart to see him using the gifts he has. And the Trinity, that's beautiful to me. Seeing the Trinity transform a life from misery to joy, that's gorgeous.
More Me:
My Clive tells me that I am beautiful. He is moved by my actions and words on occasion, mostly when I am not trying. I want to know if I am honest to my potential. I am scared to know the truth of that question, asian human that I am. I am loved by God/Jesus, and that completes me. And in the light of that truth, I am learning what my talents are. Please, God, let me be honest to them.
Pictures are top, sunrise in Waikiki -
bottom, sunset over Gilligan's Island (Yacht Harbor Ala Moana Beach.)

Found the Paper
Finally found the paper and am ready to start handwriting.
Lately, I've been more than a little distracted by the world. I want to photograph everything. Hawaii is making me fall in love with life again. It's hard to believe that when I first arrived here in 1992, I hated it with a passion. Too hot, too sunny, too much of everything. It took three years for the Aloha spirit to get my attention. Thank God that it's not taking that long this time.
